Trump Signs Multiple Executive Orders: Anti-Abortion, Ban Middle Eastern Refugees, Continue Dakota Pipeline & Build Mexican Border Wall
Donald Trump has been pretty busy in his first few days as President signing a series of executive orders that basically live up to certain controversial promises that he made to his supporters during his campaign. Great for his supporters, not so much for America! Check out the details below….
The bad old days of United States foreign assistance are coming back, now that President Donald Trump signed an executive order reinstating the global gag rule on overseas discussion of abortion by individuals and organizations receiving federal funding. We have been here twice before — under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush — and we know that this order often backfires, leading to increased abortion rates.
“The United States does not consider abortion an acceptable element of family planning programs and will no longer contribute to those of which it is a part,” read the rule. “The United States will no longer contribute to separate nongovernmental organizations which perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning in other nations.”
White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters in a press conference on Monday that, “It’s no secret,” that Trump “is a pro-life president.” Trump “wants to stand up for all Americans, including the unborn,” Spicer continued.
His Ban On Middle Eastern & African refugees:
U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to sign executive orders starting on Wednesday that include a temporary ban on most refugees and a suspension of visas for citizens of Syria and six other Middle Eastern and African countries, say congressional aides and immigration experts briefed on the matter.
Trump, who tweeted that a “big day” was planned on national security on Wednesday, is expected to ban for several months the entry of refugees into the United States, except for religious minorities escaping persecution, until more aggressive vetting is in place.
Another order will block visas being issued to anyone from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, said the aides and experts, who asked not to be identified.

The Mexican Border Wall:
Construction of the wall could begin in months, but planning for the massive project is “starting immediately,” Trump said Wednesday in an interview with ABC News.
Trump confirmed his plans to build the wall with federal funds and then seek reimbursement from Mexico, an idea Mexico has resisted. But negotiations, he said, would begin “relatively soon.”
“I’m telling you there will be a payment. It will be in a form, perhaps a complicated form,” Trump said.
The actions will send alarm bells ringing in immigration activist circles, where questions still are swirling about whether Trump would truly implement many of the hardline immigration policies he articulated during his campaign. On Continuing the Dakota Pipeline:
President Trump signed executive orders Tuesday to revive the controversial Dakota Access and Keystone XL oil pipelines, another step in his effort to dismantle former president Barack Obama’s environmental legacy.
He also signed an executive order to expedite environmental reviews of other infrastructure projects, lamenting the existing “incredibly cumbersome, long, horrible permitting process.”
“The regulatory process in this country has become a tangled-up mess,” he said. – via washingtonpost
SMH….This is what Trump has been up to while he cleverly distracts everyone with petty Twitter beefs and press conferences about crowd’s size at his inauguration. Where are all those people who have been saying to “just give him a chance” like we even had a choice? If this is what Trump has been up to in his first few days of office, we have a looooong four years ahead of us! God help us all. What do YOU think of Trump’s executive orders?
